What is Hyperlink?
Hyperlink is clickable word, phrase or images that clicking on it will navigate the user to another webpage within the same website or in a different domain.
When clicked, they’ll either take you to a web address immediately or, for certain types of files, give you the option to open a document with an app (like Adobe Reader to open a PDF).
Where does Hyperlinks Navigate to?
* Another web address (URL)
* Images
* Audio files
* Videos
* HTML files
* Text files or other documents (PDFs, for example)
* A location within the same webpage
What are Hyperlink Types?
1) Text Links – It’s the most common link, a clickable text that’s used to go to another page or resource.
2) Image Links – An image link is a hyperlink in image form. One of the most common examples of image links is the banner ads on various websites.
3) Anchor Text Links – Not to be confused with anchor text, anchor links bring the reader from one place in a document to a different section of the same document, like in a table of contents.
4) Fat Links – A fat link or an extended link is one link that has multiple destinations.
