All websites are using, in one way or another, images taken from an online stock images bank.
In a recent tweet someone asked Google’s John Mueller if using stock images affects rankings due to a question asked about using non-original content such as stock photography that can indeed affect rankings.
Mueller answered: “It doesn’t matter for web-search directly”. The best use of stock photography is when there’s a strategy behind the use and using stock photography, as is, won’t ruin your SEO.
However the strategic use of stock images can help a page be more relevant for the topic making the user to clickthrough or stay more time on the page that does effect SEO.

Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the continuance process to increase the percentage of website visitors who take a desired action — be that making a purchase, filling out a form, or otherwise. The CRO process involves psychology with marketing and web design and the understanding how users move through your site, what actions they take, and what’s stopping them from completing your goals.

Google created a whole new website, called How ‘YouTube Works’, which offers an in-depth look at all components of the YouTube platform.

After recently changing the product listings in its Shopping tab making it available for free for retailers, Google is now expanding the same to search listings for products, further expanding the eCommerce potential of the platform.
According to Google: “Free listings in Google Search results make your offers more accessible to the hundreds of millions of people who shop on Google each day, connecting you to more customers in more places – whether they’re across the country or across the street. […] Currently, the buying options in this panel are all sponsored links. Starting this summer, these listings will be free.”
