What Are Meta Keywords
Meta Keywords are a specific type of meta tag called “Meta Keywords” that appear in a specific webpage HTML code helping the search engine to understand what is the topic of the webpage. Users do not see these Meta Keywords unless they take a look at the webpage code.
The Meta Keywords look like this:
<meta name=”keywords” content=”pizza, pizza recipe, pizza sauce recipe, pizza toppings” />

How Do I Use Meta Keywords?
After you have determined the webpage topic and the relevant keywords you want to inform the search engines, you use the following code within your webpage:
<meta name=”keywords” content=”keyword 01, keyword 02, keyword 03, keyword 04, keyword 05” />
Are Meta Keywords Still Relevant?
While the actual Meta Keywords Tag was not canceled and still available to use, experts are claiming that Meta Keywords are not relevant anymore as the search engines are determined any webpage topic by the content inside the webpage rather than what the webpage author has indicated within the Meta Keywords code.
Are Meta Keywords Important?
In the past Meta Keywords were important and some may say crucial for your webpage ranking but today, as search engines such as Google and Bing became smarter and their algorithm is able to read your website content and analyze it, the importance of Meta Keywords is very low to a point you do not even need to have it in your webpage code.
