Direct to Consumer also commonly known as D2C, is a marketing term used for an ecommerce strategy where businesses sell directly to end-consumers on their ecommerce website, bypassing any third-party retailers, wholesalers, or any other middlemen.

Direct to Consumer business, quite literally “cuts out” the middleman allowing the business to offer lower prices for products and services sold using the third-party retailers.

Research has also shown that 60% of consumers prefer to buy directly with businesses and brands over retailers.
