What does DNS Stand For?
DNS, stands for Domain Name System, is how domain names are translated into IP addresses as well as controlling email delivery. DNS is what allows an end user to use a web browser to find websites as well as send and receive email.
In a more technical way, DNS is a hierarchical and decentralized naming system for computers, services, or other resources connected to the Internet or private networks. Anything connected to the internet – laptops, tablets, mobile phones, websites – has an Internet Protocol (IP) address made up of numbers.
